2008 with more mileage than my Varadero. Lies.
They have either listed that incredibly wrong, cannot read a speedo or have changed that engine a few times. |

I probably wouldn't touch it.
It's a small air/oil cooled engine that gets worked hard and has an internal centrifugal filter that's unlikely to have been cleaned out once, let alone the recommended 10 times at that mileage. There should have been at least 30 oil changes as well in that time.
That said, it's pushrod, there's not a lot to go wrong with it, and it's clearly been in constant use so might have been well looked after. I'd be more interested in the condition of the non-engine consumables to see how close they are to needing replaced.
But the reason that I wouldn't have it is this: the same question you're asking is going to be asked by any potential buyer. You might find it hard to shift, or have to deal with the "Swap you some Staffie puppies" end of Gumtree when selling it on. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I don't think I'd want a CG chassis and suspension with 75K on it, even though it's not having to cope with much. I'd also be worried maybe about vibration fatigue of engine mounts and frame brackets maybe too?
As Roger said most 125cc 4stroke engines will have not been maintained well enough to make it to 75k miles, as it's the sort of bike for penny pincher's to save money on riding to work etc. It's a bit like buying a second hand builder's van. It's likely to have never had any money spent on it that it didn't absolutely need to keep it working?
That said it could be clean and tidy and been looked after by a mad CG125 enthusiast?
My mate's CG125 made it to 43k on the original engine, which would have been fixable for about £100 when it was stripped and checked over. |

A pal had a CG with 90k, used it as his learning bike (in other words dropped it a few times), then sold it on. I've seen XR's (same engine as CG) with 80k, but then I've seen others with engine changes at less mileage. ____________________ Yamaha MT-03 '08 (crashed)
