Probably pearoast, but copper stands out into road in front of bikes doing 80mph or so, in foggy conditions and causes an accident

I know the bikes aren't faultless either, those speeds in those conditions is a bit silly but come on, step out on to a road in low visibility expecting bikes to stop that quickly? What a cretin4 ____________________ Stinkwheel: You have no right to free speech

I have witnessed the same thing with a speed camera. Sometimes these things cause more harm than not. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

Meh. More front, less rear and he'd have stopped it.
Hope he didn't damage his mates bike.
If you can't stop in time for a stationary speed trap, you had no right doing that sort of speed.
If you can't leave a big enough gap to stop when your mate does, you're a cunt and have no business riding with anyone else because only a cunt hits the man in front.
Therefore, the rider in question was a cunt and the accident was entirely his own fault. The copper didn't cause the accident, the riders incompetance did. You'll notice the guys riding in front of AND behind him both managed to stop comfortably and the guy on the green bike had a good 5-10 metres less stopping distance. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. The guy behind seems to have little idea how to stop a bike. ____________________ Bikes: S1000R, SH350; Exes: Vity 125, PS125, YBR125, ER6f, VFR800, Brutale 920, CB600F, SH300x4

The first bike did stop that quickly though, which suggests the second rider was riding an SV650 with chocolate brakes |
FTFY
The first guy stopped hard, look at the compression of the forks, the second guy first has to register why the first guy is stopping, then notice the policemanofficer.
Second guys reactions weren't going to be as good as the firsts, and the SV has terrible brakes, the rear is better than the front, probably explains the lock up.... not condoning their riding, even though we all ride in a similar fashion every now and then.
But on the exit of a bend, in thick fog and just stepping into the road like that? The copper is a cretin. ____________________ Stinkwheel: You have no right to free speech

Just so I'm clear, the "copper is a cretin" take on it is that in bad weather, you should be allowed to ride any way you like because it would be dangerous to try and stop you?
It's just a pity there was a camera crew there, otherwise the 1st and 3rd boss-riders might have stinkwheeled their way out of it. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

IOM mountain, perfect place for people to be stopping quickly considering there is no speed limit
Even so, if a kid ran out onto an NSL road and a biker was speeding and couldn't stop in time, I wouldn't actually blame the biker. Just because they were speeding doesn't necessarily mean that if they weren't speeding they would be able to stop in time.
Plus, if a kid's running out into an NSL road with passing traffic then imo that's just darwins theory at work... ____________________ Bandit 600 - deaded |
