It's in your handbook mate
Make sure the centre of the chain at the bottom is the tightest part! Then...
Loosen the axle nut. (big nut on left side)
Loosen the 'lock nuts' (There are 2 bolts at the rear of the bike, one on each arm. 2 nuts on each bolt. The nuts furthest from the bike are the locking nuts.) 10mm I think.
The 2 nuts nearest to your bike are the 'adjusting nuts' (One each side) Turn them clockwise to tighten and anti clockwise to loosen.
Each 'adjusting nut' has to be turned an equal amout of times eg. if the left nut is turned twice, the right must also be turned twice.
Proper slack for your bike is 30 -40mm.
Tighten 'locking nuts'. (Use two spanners, one to hold the adjusting nut in place and one to tighten the 'lock nut')
Tighten axle nut.
Lubricate.
This should be done every 600 miles
Ask again if this isn't very clear |
