Sorry if I'm not using the right terminology here, but when removing the spark plugs on my 1994 zxr 750 I broke one of the caps. Basically where the wire connects to the part that the spark plug goes in to, the rubber and wires broke. I went to Kawasaki and ordered the part, only to be told that they no longer make that part Confused That was in Spain so I'm thinking UK dealers might be a bit more competent. If I can't get a new one, is there any way I can repair the existing part?
It looks almost exactly like this, but the lead is broken too, any ideas?

Why not buy that one?
If you mean the cap came off but the theres no other damage you can screw it back in.

as above.
just cut half inch off the end of the HT lead & screw it back in.
if the cable is knackered buy a 1m length of it.
its simple enough to make your own HT leads, i just buy the lose plugs, they come in all flavours, straight, 45deg,90deg etc.

edit : FFS!!!! I just looked a the price of the plug cap in that link, 30 quid for a spark plug cap is taking the piss!
the little ngk ones are only a couple of quid & any time i have had to buy straight ones (& thats not often as i recycle them off other bikes) i have never paid more than a tenner.

Hi sorry to butt in, just come across this looking for pretty much that answer, can you confirm that it means this in laymans terms:

"push cable into new cap and twist"

Or do i need to thread it etc.?

A three year delay does rather stretch the definition of butting in. However, yes, you just push the cable in and turn it - there's a screw tip inside the cap that should bite into the cable core if you apply suitable pressure.
