Does anyone know of any websites that gives info on taking your bike to eurpoe? I.e spain.

Family are going to barcelona in april and thought it'd be a great idea to take the bike back (but not there as I do have exams to study for) I heard you can take a boat to southern spain with your bike cheaply and ride al the way back. Anyone know any info on doing this?

I searched google but came up with the usual more search engines cr*p.

Appreciate the help peeps Smile

You can catch a ferry to Santander or Bilbao. Takes a day and a half then you can ride through Spain. You are not to far from the Pyrenees mountains if you want some twisty roads.

Yeah, this is what I'd been looking at.

Anyone done it before and if so, how much did it cost(roughly) just to take the bike down on the boat. Bilbao would be the better port I reckon, closer to barca.

Pyrenees is my aim, I'd absolutely love that. Pity I couldn't do it in a more "warmer" time but its better than doing it in january Wink

I will have a look.

The total price of your tickets will be 236.00 GBP

https://www.aferry.to//GWMap.asp

and thats 1 way. Because its over a day you have to get a cabin which pushes up the price.

Pity I HAVE to get a cabin.

I'd be okay with sleeping on the bar Wink
