My bike keeps cutting out in the rain, never happens on a good day.. When it cuts out a put a bit of wd40 on the spark plug and it starts up and goes for another while again, so I im guessing it's the spark plug?

What can you do to stop it from cutting out?

My bike is an Aprilia rs 125.

I have replaced the cap. The spark plug was very rusty looking around the nut of the spark plug. I have another red weatherproof cap I will change it to that. And try it. Smile

Mine was the same in wet weather. (same or similar engine as yours)
WD40 would work for a day or two at the most.
I sprayed the coil & lead with ACF50 on boxing day and it's been perfect ever since!

If you have to resort water repellants to get it to run properly ( assuming lead and cap are fine) get some di-electric grease to waterproof it - it will last a lot longer than wd40 etc

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Servisol-Silicone-Grease-with-High-Electrical-Insulation-50g-Tube-/261174248087?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item3ccf32c297

this would be more suited to the plug and cap.
AC50 is not really designed for chains but a lot of people use it to effect. I prefer proper chain lube personally

I have just the racing weatherproof cap off of PJME and it seems to be fine, just seems to be a bit of rust around the nut of it. Could I put that grease around the the coil too? Smile
