CG125 clutch sticking

Hey people

I have a problem with my clutch sticking recently..

I re-built the clutch myself, a few weeks ago, and all has been working perfectly for 100+ miles..

i popped out to the shops early yesterday morning, and again, the clutch was fine.
But later on in the day, i went to go out again, started the bike up, clutch in, and as soon as i put it in 1st gear, it stalled..

even if i pull the clutch in and push the bike, i can feel it gripping.
I can roll the bike with a bit of effort and then if i let go of the clutch, it locks totally...

when i re-built the clutch, i dissassembled it bit by bit and put it all in order on my kitchen worktop, so when it came to re-building it up, i reversed the order, only fitting brand new friction plates..
so i know its re-built back properly..

any suggestions?

Did you leave the new friction plates to soak in an oil bath for a few hours before you installed them?

When you reconnected the cable,did you wind in the clutch lever adjuster then take up the coarse adjustment at the clutch end?

Hi there

Yes i adjusted everything on the clutch properly, as the service manual said..
Leaving aprox 1- 2cm of lever free-play, also just like the manual said...

but no i didnt soak the plates in oil bath before hand..
The manual didnt mention anything about having to do that, and ive never been advised to..
