A thread for those jobs we do that are too small to warrant their own thread...

Today I removed the rear wheel from the SRAD & replaced the the brake disc with a shiny new one. Very Happy
Gave the wheel a proper scrub while I had easy access too, bloody filthy it was, refitted it and after a quick test ride all seems well.

It now makes the rest of the bike seem in desperate need of a wash. Rolling Eyes

(thread idea stolen from another forum I read)

I twiddled the brake cable adjuster on the front brake lever by approximately one full turn.

Fitted an isolated ignition supply on the Jota. Changed its oil, fitted some period indicators. Stuck the Fireblades tank protector and the digital clock on properly. Shivered a lot, can't be arsed anymore today.

Adjusted the chain by 1 notch on the snail adjuster....oiled the chain then sprayed WD40 over most of the bike minus brakes and controls and went off roading for a few hours.....oh and mixed up another gallon of premix Smile got home and hosed the mud off ( that's why the WD40 first)......then......erm covered it in more WD40 to stop it rusting as won't be out for another 3 weeks! Poor KDX lives on minimal maintenance over the winter!

Hi

Gave the engine for the GSXR50 a good wash (it is out of the bike - bike is in lots of pieces). And found evidence of red gasket goo between the crankcase halves Crying or Very sad .

On the other hand, found out there is an 85cc big bore kit available for the engine.

All the best

Keith

Wotcha.

I suppose this counts as fettling.
Sorted all the bit in readiness for zinc plating.
Mopped 'em all on a wire wheel fitted to the bench grinder, then photographed and listed 'em.

They look rather like this..............
