Yes your oil goes in the oil tank, I used to buy oil a litre at a time and just buy a new bottle when I needed one, being a fifty it wont go through that much but keep a close eye on it until you get to know the scooter in question.

I don't think it's a trick question I just think the OP doesn't realise there's a separate reservoir for 2-stroke oil.
Don't put it in the fuel tank.
Don't put it in the oil filler in the engine cases.
Find the 2-stroke reservoir and fill that up.
EDIT: found this. Oil filler is shown in the pic down the page.
