Boots

Right, I have my CBT and DAS at the beginning of January. The School (Pinewood in Wokingham) supplies everything other than boots. I not too keen on doing the DAS course with no proper boots and as a result I'm looking for recommendations for all-season boots. Max £120. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Go into a shop and try some on that fit properly and are comfortable!

peoples feet are differant shapes and widths etc so your better off getting some that suit you!

I had to spend £39.99 on a pair as they were the most comfiest (me being a size 13 there is not much out there)

Boots are not like gloves where people can give reccomendations as such, its about personal comfort and preferance!

Go fourth and spend wisely young jedi and may the force be with you.

If you've got any big army-style boots, they would do fine I suspect.

Don't expect the level of protection offered by the equipment the training school offers to be great.
For a start, with 'most all bike stuff, fit it paramount. Loose fitting clothing and helemts can also harm you while they are protecting you.

However, you're not going to be trying to set any records and should have some one looking out for you, to make sure you're not doing anything stupid.

If you're looking for all season stuff, definately get ones with waterproof linings. Leather bike boots are not waterproof, they are not designed to be.

Heine Gericke is really the place to go for the best clothing advice, you can even buy some there too!

Army boots will do fine for your CBT, though there is a little less feel for changing gears unless you are used to them.
