cut them in half just to make sure your not tempted to bodge them!

can you not replace just the stanchions rather than full forks?

Some good used forks from a breakers or eBay will be your best fix. Those are toasted.

Fit fork gaiters and wipe the oil off before going into the testing station.

This has to be a troll post, right? That's the worst I've ever seen a fork, and in fact a disc centre and a front wheel come to that.

Cut them down the middle, wrap around, few cable ties to hold it back together. Bodge for the MOT should work fine, but those forks are well fucked Laughing

Those forks are beyond economical repair. Get a better set on eBay.

By the way... This is pitting:

https://home.comcast.net/~fzmax/XS/04_Suspension/00_Tube_Pitting_L.JPG

This might be fixable by using epoxy (not eproxy!) but what you have is different. The chrome is peeling off of the steel underneath. The technical term for this is "completely cvnted" (excuse the hetzerism).

Wait wait....

Is that a Derbi Senda by any chance? I happen to have a Senda front end in one of my garages... (I'm guessing not as it has a cast not spoked wheel).

Oh dear! Did you buy this bike from Captain Nemo after he had commuted across the seabed on it?

They are fucked beyond repair, get some decent replacements.
