You must be deaf or never used a set of good headphones/headset? I bought that set for the PS3 for GTA in Sept/Oct and they're tinny and poor.

A bad one from the batch? Never had any of those problems myself. I read reviews before i bought them and they all were 5 stars.

I got GX Gaming Cavimanus HS-G700V, about 30 pounds, great sound with really deep basses, nice virtual 7.1, oddly impressive vibration function (something that one must try), they say it's got great mic, well I don't need one. It's got automatic on/off mic function and volume control and ((V))ibration control on the left ear. Thumbs Up

The only thing that is a bit off putting is the USB connectivity only, but I use it only for PC, so that does not bother me.

I use X12's too they are a brilliant headset in my opinion.

Can swap them between xbox and PC too without any issues Smile

I had a plantronics usb headset from amazon for £25 but it broke as soon as the warranty expired

So I got my mrs to make sure her family only gave me hmv vouchers for xmas, got a set of turtlebeach PX22 which cost me £0.00p instead of £70, it came with several sets of leads so it also works with PS3/4, and anything with the old red/yellow/white connections, my phone and ipod

i've got a plantronics gamecom 780 headset, costs just under £40 from amazon. it's ok, i don't think the sound that comes out of it is that great, although directional sound (only test in cs go) seem good. lacks bass though. wouldn't recommend.

Possibly, as I've never tried TB before. I only bought the PS3 to play GTA and had to buy a headset. I use Logitech G930's on the PC and the sound quality is immensely different.

However, they do feel cheap and easily breakable, which is not a good thing with me as I drop things a lot.

The only thing i wasn't too keen on was the ball ache of getting a headset working with the PS3. Plug this in, plug that in, connect to this cable, connect to that cable. With the PC it was just plug in and play Smile

I actually use a bunch of separates.

My Senheiser 555 since I no longer use my digital pianos with headphones (got an acoustic as well) and a full size microphone in a pint glass.

Works well.

Mine plug into the soundcard with multiple jacks. Hence "Medusa".
