Its a great feeling huh.

New bike?

It depends what you want to do with it and your budget.

If you just want to hoon around at the weekend perhaps you can make it a naked like a honda hornet or street triple however if you are going to do a lot of commuting and motorway riding you would probably one with a fairing such as a CBR600F/SV650/ER6F.

What are you on now?

Thanks everyone.

I have no real idea what to buy. I will probably stick on my YBR until I see something I like. I only got that for the 3 mile ride to the train station, but it just wasn't enough Very Happy

I learnt on an ER6F and XJ6 and liked both of them. Ideally I'll look for something in the 2-3K range. Something I can have fun on at weekends but don't mind leaving at a train station for 12 hours a day.

Or I'll keep the 125 for that and buy a Street Triple...

All the best riders who just passed do that...... oh, and me.

Best thing about bimbling around on a 125 during the week is getting back on a bigger bike, it's like those Star Trek warp speed sequences.
That and savings in petrol go in the tank at the weekend, plus less chance of bangs and scrapes associated with parking at work + rushour commutes.
But most people can't wait to never get back on a 125 ever again.
