Should be there, probably go on standby on the day for a ferry. Deposits are due soon so keep your eyes open then for tickets that people didn't pay for.

I'm there from Friday night to the Tuesday night of race week. I didn't really think that through though and will only get one day of racing in. Ah well, there is always 2015 for a full week.

You should get two days of racing. Saturday is TT Superbike and Sidecar A, Monday is Supersport A and Superstock.

The remainder of my booking is due by 28 Feb, so he's going to call up at the very start of March to see if there are any spare spots, but was hoping maybe someone had decided not to go for some reason.

Hoping for good weather, we are there for 9 nights so hopefully will be able to get lots of dry laps in. Now to buy a gopro...

What MG said, make sure he's on the steam packet website morning of 1st March to catch tickets people haven't fully paid for. I don't know if you need to be on at midnight or 9/8am though.

We're going again this year, Wednesday-Wednesday

Quite keen to ride there one of these years, but being london-ish based, am I right in thinking the 'shortest' route for me is still catching the ferry from Liverpool?

I'm from near reading and that's what I'm doing this year. I'm not aware of a shorter or cheaper route.

They used to do a sailing from Wales (Anglesey, I think) but, I'm not sure if they still do. It'd probably be little or no nearer for you anyway.

Last TT was absolutely fantastic, the sun even managed to warp my visor Laughing

Expecting good weather in the Isle of Man two years running during TT Tut Tut Won't happen for another ten years, I'm afraid. Wink

Wasn't last year a bit of a washout?

It was glorious sun most of the time, ridiculously hot sat at the side of the track.

Nah, you're probably thinking of the year before, when the senior race had to be cancelled due to rain.

Last year, the only concern was parts of the road were melting.

Yep, last year was amazing for weather, we only got rained on in England riding to the ferry, was solid sunshine for the entire week we were there Thumbs Up

Was pretty crap for us in 2012 though. Hopefully TT 2014 will have weather as good as 2013 but I'm not holding out much hope Thumbs Down

Are you sure you were at the same place? Practice on Monday was cancelled due to weather and even the Wednesday practice got delayed/shortened for the same reason, in fact most of the practice week was quite poor.
