New to forums, love for bikes!

Hey, I'm new to the site and just wanted to introduce myself to the biking community! I was recommended by Tom Reilly (a very good friend) so thanks to that guy.

Ive been riding since August 2013 and couldn't see myself without a motorcycle for the rest of my life.

So, i know your all going give my shit for this but i ride a Lexmoto Vixen 125... i know that Chinese bikes have a bad name but this things hasn't let me down yet and its affordable... plus i got it for really cheap.

Basics about me: I'm 17, in college 3 days a week and work 2 days a week...

Chink bikes do take a beating from time to time on here but it's only because there's a lot of history with them. but as you say, it was within your price range and it's got you a taste of 2 wheels, so good on you

If you maintain the chinky bike meticulously there's no reason why it can last for a decent while, as long as you know you will need to keep an eye on it.

Looks quite nice! Look after it well and keep an eye on the common problems, and it should be fine, Lexmotos have got a far better reputation than some Chinese brands. Having said that, even my jap YBR has given me a couple of headaches

When I went to buy the bike I had no idea about the common problems they have or anything so Ive learned all that the hard way but I try keep it in tip-top shape!

But I cant wait to get a newer/bigger bike! But its a pain in the arse having to wait a year and a half plus however much for the full test

Most new riders your age, myself included may have 'nicer, more reliable' bikes perhaps, but they neglect them so badly you'd be better off with a maintained chinese bike.

My first two bikes got neglected to shit generally out of ignorance. If you know what you're doing and looking out for to keep it in good condition now it will pay off big time later on in saving you paying someone else to maintain it with basic 'services' and also keeping the bike in good nick.

Guessing those pictures were taken back in summer, so those fork legs will probably be even flakier by now.

I'd have to be having those mudguards off, well prepped, hammerited and - the front one - undersealed/greased (and back one anointed with ye oily rag after every ride).

Good choice. I had the HN badged bike (made by Dihao as is the Arrow/HN125 4F). 3 years, no problems, shined up a treat. The big merit is that they're so cheap to begin with that it's hard to lose much on them. Slow even by 125 standards though.

I've just found two sprockets for your bike, one had 39 teeth, the other 45, so depends really. Mine had 51!
