Thinking of changing my Fzs1000 for something else.

I quite like the Triumph Sprint ST 1050, but I'm still undecided on whether or not I'd like to give a sports bike a go.

Any other suggestions along the Triumph lines? Something that's bordering on a sports bike, but not full on sports?

Aprilia Falco?

Go and grab a test ride on a new R1, they're pretty roomy IMO.

Ride an R1.....

I cannot for the life of me get on with sports bikes. Rode an R1, it was like a match made in heaven. Was fantastic!

tried my mates r6, then his r1, bought a non-rusty cbr600rr from chiswick honda, didnt get on with it at all, kept stalling, no low down power - steep learning curve for me. bought the cbr1000rr was much better, didnt stall, lots low down torque and didnt really matter if u got the gears wrong - was a very forgiving bike, but heavy and not manouverable in city traffic.

so i went back to supermoto and never looked back.

sports bikes are just not my thing.

horses for courses.

I had a CBR600F, got on okay but wasn't great. Had a daytona 600 but sold that quickly as I hated riding it. Always preferred upright bikes. I couldn't steer the daytona. Sure I tried something else as well but couldn't get on with that. Got my FZ6, love it.

Rode the R1, didn't have any problems that I'd had with sports bikes before and felt really comfortable on it.

So think I'm going to go somewhere in the middle and get an FZ1 Thumbs Up

You're not going to live that one down - a lot of people (hi, Bendy Smile) think they're hideous.

Go ride one. I had an R6 that got uncomfortable pretty quickly, then I got to try out the dealer's R1 demonstrator: they got it back with about 120 miles extra on the clock. After that it was just a matter of time before I bought one, and I'm 6'2" and 52 y/o.

Ha ha ha. Another name change on the cards...perhaps next time you could think of something a little less predictable. Mr. Green Thumbs Up

The R1, another vote for it.

Comfy enough for me to do 2500 miles in Spain on one. Coped well fully loaded, real nice handling from a bike that was 12 years old. Thumbs Up

Newer ones can only get better.

Thanks for your input.

I'll keep an eye out for your contributions, to see if you post something a little less predictable next time.
