The cold never gets to me, except my feet which really suffer after about an hour's riding at three degrees or less. For Christmas the mother in law got me a pair of Heat Holder tog rated socks. I tried them in the freezing fog on my commute today and actually arrived at work with comfortably warm feet. Totally recommend them.

I saw those heat holder socks in matalan on Monday, I don't suffer from cold feet but did think they would be great on a bike.

I once rode from Oxford to Reading at 2am in -4 Celsius, I had Tesco plastic bags over my boots and my feet were overheating. Try that!

Extra large condoms do the trick for me. And luckily I have them in abundance.

Never really noticed cold feet before to be honest. I do wear track-boots a lot of the time so maybe their shell and size keeps the cold out. Usually wear normal socks unless its near freezing then double up/wear ski-socks, whichevers not in the wash Razz

I do find extra thick socks can make regular boots tighter and that's not always good.
It's helpful to have some wiggle room.

Would be tempted by those army sock but they are very white, after washing they never seem quite as good. Confused

But I don't often need to ride when it's really cold.

Get a 90's superbike and ride it slow, the amount of heat coming out of it won't let you cold. Thumbs Up

I find thermal plastic fibre socks to be the sweatiest things ever, and wool to itch like my feet have herpes.

On the odd occasion where I need to, I tend to layer up cotton sports socks.

I suffer from 50% less cold feet and any socks you do buy last twice as long when you only wear one in a pair Mr. Green

I had the cold feet problem for some time, until I realised that my boots were a bit tight across the instep. Not so that they were really uncomfortable, but just too tight enough to restrict the blood flow a little. These were Sidi Black Rains. I now know that most Sidis are too tight for me. Never had the problem since I became more careful about fit. I also recommend Merino wool socks - very warm, even if they get wet. And of course there are always Sealskinz socks to stop getting wet feet in the first place.

I dont tend to have a problem with cold feet, and I usually use my normal socks. If it is cold or wet outside (and if they are clean) I wear some motorbike socks that I got from Aldi last year, or the mother in law bought me some Moto GP bike socks for my birthday so I wore those the other day. They are like football socks but thicker.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/moto-gp-socks

Very nice, and I might buy some more soon.
