Walking boots are fine ,I'd not use anything with toe caps you need to feel the gear shifter toe caps will prevent this.plus you may end up getting your foot wedged in between the shifter and foot peg.dont ask how I know |

I wore my hiking boots on CBT, with no problem at all. Have ridden to work once or twice in my steelies since, but found them a bit cumbersome for the little CG. The heel also started to melt onto the exhaust! ____________________ '96 Honda CG125 BR-T |

I brought steel toe caps in my bag with me at the time and was told not to use them so I put my regular trainies on, wasn't a problem. Since then I actually have rode in steel toe caps and now I know why, couldn't feel a damn thing and had to do this feminine kick ever time I changed gear to prevent my foot from getting stuck ____________________ Motorcycle riding can be really cozy. Old pair of army surplus boots is probably cheapest, or maybe a hiking pair.
Just keep the laces tucked well out the way, the loop getting snagged on a peg or worse still a lace coming undone and getting whipped up with the chain will make it an unpleasant day
They should provide a jacket and gloves normally - if not always even, i'm not sure if its a requirement? They'll provide helmets, although take your own if you have one as they can be a pain to fit and usually smell like old socks.
Besides that if you haven't got/don't want to get bike trousers before completing the CBT just wear a pair of jeans that isn't too tight, they can constrict your legs quite a bit on some bikes even if they feel loose day to day walking around. |
