Afternoon Folks

I'm based near the uni on Bournemouth (Talbot Campus) Closest place for me is The License Centre on Wallisdown https://thelicencecentre.com/ but i've read quite a lot of less than favourable reviews of the place.

Doing a quick Google search throws up a lot of other places but wanted to hear if anyone's used anywhere local and recommend me a place.

Looking to do my CBT for the time being with a view to get my full license done later this year.

I did my cbt & full license in Poole at a place called Motag. Not bad but not cheap either.

Might be a little out your way, over in wimbourne.

Few people i know said theyre really good and professional with everything, might be worth a look Thumbs Up Particularly if you go beyond CBT stage.

Yeah TLC aren't all that good in my opinion Smile
I used www.rideonbikes.co.uk for my DAS training, the guy that runs it is called Steve, and he'll give you a free 30 min assessment of your riding ability and tell you how much training you'll need (if you already have a CBT that is)
I got away with a 2 day DAS and passed first time on Mod1 and 2 (same day) so was well pleased Smile His prices ain't bad either compared to some others in the area.
He's based at Iford Bridge

I used Maverick Training over in Blandford (so a bit of a distance for you), believe they also do training from Verwood, but I may be wrong.

https://www.bikemaverick.co.uk/

Can't recommend them enough.

cheers for the replies guys!

Asharin: I'll give TLC a wide berth. shame as they have a tasty looking 125 Duke sat outside which I think is a school bike and i'd fancy a go on and they're close by.

JFK: I think Maverick have a place in Charminster which is 5 mins away from me so they'll be a favourite then. I've actually singed up for the GetOn free ride thing but no one's contacted me yet... ? I also requested a date for a CBT from them but again no one's contacted me yet. Think i'll just go down there tomorrow and have a chat with em.

petechett: Sorry Gosport's gonna be a bit too far away for me!

Ta for replies again, hope this weather pisses off soon!

I know they have some dealings with Crescent Yamaha I believe in Charminster, and Crescent Suzuki in Verwood, but didn't know they had a place in Charminster.

My wife used these guys for her cbt a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. She seemed fairly safe on the bike too which was a bonus.

Booked with A2B as they were the only guys I could get in touch with. CBT on Sunday morning, which is awesome as it's my birthday next week. Can't wait!
