I was just looking at some Gore-Tex boots and don't mind spending a bit for some that will last. I had some £100 Spada boots that un-waterproofed themselves after 10ish months of being worn and walked in so I plan on bringing a pair of trainers with me on rides and not walking in the boots so they last longer.

TCX have some good reviews and I was looking at the Sidi B2 Gore-Tex boot, any recommendations?

Daytona boots get some of the best reviews I've read. My dads are getting on for three years of daily use and still look new and are yet to leak.

Sidi Adventures. Mine are still bone dry and comfortable after neatly 3 years.

They look promising, do you walk around in them as well?

My GF has Daytona boots. Quality-wise, they are excellent. They're effectively a boot inside a boot.

I have a pair of TCX S-Race GTXs, ridden a good 15k miles, including heavy rain, never leaked. But protection wise I'd say they're a distant second to Daytonas.

TCX infinity (Touring boot) and no real complaints after 3 years of regular use. Feet stay warm and dry. It's the buckle system that's the minor gripe.

Yea, nice and easy to walk in. Decent flex in the ankles. Good 'all day' boot..

I use Alpinestars Toucan Goretex, they are part of the tech series so offroad biased. I've used them for green laning, motocross and supermoto stuff and have held up well so far, really comfortable and not as stiff as a motocross boot. I have noticed sometime my feet are wet but I reckon that just 'over the top' stuff as I always use them tucked in Thumbs Up

The Sidi Adventures look similar just cheaper, I had a tax rebate at the time and just went for the Astars Very Happy

I got some TCX Competizione S Gore-Tex boots about 2 years ago now. Never ever leaked and I ride pretty much all year round.

I also wear them for about 10 hours a day 5/6 days a week and they are really comfortable.

Would definitely recommend.

I got them from:

These are what I'm wearing at the moment:

TCX Jupiter.

Obviously not going to give quite the same protection as a full length boot; however, they are very comfortable, good for walking in and they have not leaked yet (have been riding in all weathers); however, I have only had them for about 5 months so far so can't really give a comprehensive review.

daytona's are the best, they don't look too attractive and they are eye wateringly expensive as they are hand made in germany, but the bonus is they will resole them and replace the goretex when they wear out, roadstars are the most common, but remember to ask for the goretex version as they do all their boots with or without goretex, they're knocking on for £350 a pair atm, and a resole and replace the goretex will cost you £150, I'm on my second pair

As mentioned in the other thread part way down the page, Alpinestars Web Goretex are going well for a few of us. Really comfortable to walk about all day in and never leaked on me yet. Pretty warm too. Online prices ranging from £120-180 depending where you go.

Definetly a case of you get what you pay for though. My dads must have done between 50-80k miles in all weather and still look as good as new.

I actually agree however still works out about the same cost over the long run I suppose...

Looking for a new pair soon, may take a look at the alpinestars ones at £150

I'm coming up to two years of riding (about 25,000 miles, year-round, across two naked-style bikes) on a pair of Alpinestars S-MX5 WP boots and they haven't leaked once. I also find them warm even on the coldest days, but I don't suffer from cold feet usually.

They are the only motorcycle boots I've ever owned, so I can't compare with anything else. I've walked miles in them. They are wearing a bit at the toes because that's how I get them off (I should use one of those boot thingies where you use the heel), but that's mostly just unsightly. They probably have another year in them, easily, so they are well put together too.

I had a pair of waterproof hiking boots previously and the Alpinestars are both warmer and drier.
