My bike is stuck in Bristol sitting over a puddle of petrol as the fuel pipe ruptured on the way to work this morning.

I don't need any help with it. Just wanted to let you all know just how pissed off I am.

Nobby, you need to relax, man.
It's been three weeks since you quit tobacco. Why don't you roll a proper cig, light-up and just chill out?

It's in the carpark at work so, even taking into account the fact that the bike could burst into flame at the moment, it's probably safer than parked at home.

Security rang me to let me know it was pissing fuel and they know it's probably going to be there over night as a minimum so they'll keep an eye on it. And it has no petrol in it so no danger of it being knicked anyway....

Phoned them the other day on the price of a throttle cable for a Gn125 came to £26 odd. What a lark.

Phoned them up about a year and a quarter ago for a price on a throttle cable for my FZ. They gave a delivery date as it had to come from Yamaha.

What they didn't bother telling me (until I rang them up to ask where the fuck it was a week and a half later) was that it had been discontinued.....

To all those offering help, I'll be driving the C1 round the ringroad tomorrow after visiting ADP for a couple of feet of flexible petrol pipe (and a jubilee clip, just in case) in the morning and fixing it.

I can guarentee it'll still be there in the morning and not carried away in a van. The occasional visit to the vicinity by armed police tend to scare away the scrotes....

If it turns out to be the tank or fuel pump that has let go, I'll get in touch for help.

Thanks all.

Fucking arse, it's the fuel pump.

Hve you seen the price of fuel pumps for bikes? You'll be looking at about £200.

I've just ordered a generic one off of ebay for £15..

Its a bad spell for FZs mate - my carbs have completely packed up now. Won't fire on startup. Was bombing it down to Maidstone down the M20 fine, 10mph in traffic and it died on me, never to start again Sad

Is it an external pump? If so after market versions can be cheaper and more reliable. I have used a Facet electric pump on my Africa Twin for over 40k miles, it cost about £45 compared to Honda's which was about £160 at the time and prone to failing at regular intervals.
