phone 01233 634982 or 07832 219855...or leave me a p.m on here

cheers

Hi
thanks for your reply,it's making the right noises, but where the cog slides out to engage the flywheel it's sticking and not returning correctly either,it's been checked out by my tame electrical wizard but unfortunately he hasn't got any contacts to renew the bushes on the shaft behind the return spring or to renew the carbon brushes which are close to knackered,of course Honda only want to sell a complete starter even though it's simple enough to strip and renew the brushes etc... Mad
I can find people to repair cdi units but starter motors!!

My starter motor went on my NSR 2000 model. I gave the bike to my mechanic and he said that the brushes had worn out and replacement would be around £15!

This is my mechanics website, he should be able to give you some good info, top bloke also!!
