Just discovered my bandit 600 mk2 is a parallel import from Japan.

Will my bike be any different to a UK spec' bandit?

Edit: It's actually a parallel import from France and not Japan.

KPH clocks. Warning stickers in Japanese.

What year is it? Could be affected by the 180kph/112mph restrictor.

When i bought the bike it came with a bunch of warning stickers in different languages amongst all the documents it came with.
No stickers on the tank (they're usually on the tank above the petrol cap right?) and I can't see any other warning stickers.

Looks like the clocks have already been changed to MPH, the trip metre still reads in KM's though.

Looks like the 180mph limit is still in force in Japan. May have been disabled when it was imported. Does it go more than 180kph/112mph?

Look carefully at the clocks to see if just the faces have been changed

All the best

It hasn't seen more than 105mph (on private land ofc) in my ownership, so I'm unsure if it's restricted yet.

I incorrectly cross checked my frame number Embarassed , my bike is in fact imported from France and a french spec' bandit, not a japanese import.

My old gals an import, was restricted to 186kph, just kept the original kph clocks and fitted one of those kph/mph reducers (little blue or gold barrel things?) into the speedo.

No more restriction, reads miles etc... ok
