Lying and framing...

https://21stcenturywire.com/2014/02/03/police-psychopath-caught-on-camera-framing-innocent-fracking-protester-for-dui/

Case eventually dropped just before it went to court.

I am astonished by that footage, mainly that they let it slip out.

Sadly i'm not one bit surprised and believe that sort of behaviour is far from rare, jumped up sociopathic scum. /hetzer cap

Yeah, I was stunned that the evidence didn't go missing and the guy didn't just end up losing his license...

That is disgusting. That fella saying, you've just told me you had two drinks.

That is a lie designed to make a man's day hard.

He needs sacking for lying. I'm usually one on the police's side but they're just becoming more and more mindless!

Bully is the only word.

There's nothing new in that video.
I've witnessed, and been subject to, that behaviour many, many times over the past four decades.
The police were always able to do and say as they pleased as they knew that their word would always be accepted as Gospel in a court of law.
With the widespread availability and use of cameras, that perception may have to change as they are increasingly revealed as the lying, corrupt thugs that they have always been.

Nice little earner for the revolting peasants. A pity that it comes out of our tax money and the culprits just get Words Of Advice though.

If a member of the public pulled a stunt like that they'd most likely be done for wasting police time and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Pigs'll get nothing more than a telling off. Told off for getting caught.

I have a letter from the chief super of Wigan police (by all means google his name), in response to a complaint, suggesting that "the one crime" on record for my address in 2012 could not possibly have affected or involved me as apparently I didn't live here at the time.

For the record, in Jan 2012 my car got nicked off my drive. They caught the guys in the act (but were not initially coming, I kinda forced the issue by going outside). You'd think he would try to trumpet the success, but no.

Given that lying obviously is the priority when dealing with complaints, where else may it suit the popo to lie?

As I said in the Thames Valley thread, the filth are, wildly, out of control, they need reining in!
If anything ever comes of this incident, you can guarantee that they'll trot out the usual "it's just a few bad apples" bullshit. I can also guarantee that all the "good apples" were looking the other way or were suffering fom temporary deafness! Rolling Eyes

I'm confused, if the dude hadn't had a drink why didn't he just blow into the box and tell em all to sod off?

The first guy was obviously a prick although from his uniform he's not an actual Police Officer but a 'Police Evidence Officer' which makes me think he's a civilian, also not having collar numbers displayed would be a big issue if he was a cop and if he was a cop he'd have done the breath test himself... although one of the actual cops called him 'boss' which just makes me even more confused Question

And if he wasn't driving a car why the hell would he submit to a breath test?

How could they even do a breath test if they hadn't stopped him in a car. He could have been on the lash all morning. What would it prove.

He's an EGT inspector, that's why the minions called him boss. They film protesters at protests and the protesters film them. First nob appears to know other nob's first name so they probably all know each other. Nobs.

Am I right that the copper calls the guy by name in the video? If the copper knows the guy by name then there's of course the possibility he did know the guy drove there that morning?

I've had tea - I've had two - not hard to confuse that in the heat of the moment I guess.

Probably just a shitty copper though.

I'm pretty sure they know them by name because protesters are repeatedly shaken down for 'intelligence gathering' and generally stopping them doing what they're there to do.

Could be confused I guess, but you'd expect the repeated clarification would be enough to set the officer straight. I expect that the reality of it was that the cop heard tea, but thought this'll get him off the site for 24-48hrs and that he can cover his back with the mishearing claims...

Here's my take-away point.

Filthy hippy tries to stop extraction of resources to generate electricity.

Filthy hippy used the intardtubes to push his anti-electricity agenda.

I'd do the lot of them all under anti-terror laws, and set Police Dog Josephine on them.

A copper down our way has just been done for doing people for on the spot fines for traffic offenses and pocketing the money.

I suspect he got done because the was stealing good money from the government rather than the fact he was taking from drivers. Can't have that, make him an example Thumbs Up

Just had another listen and the cop had already accused him of drinking before any mention of tea... He said "you've been drinking", "you're drunk" repeatedly.

The mishearing is a sideshow though... the cop knew that even if he had been drinking there would be no chance to prove that he'd been drink driving. The arrest was purely vindictive...

Hippies also drive cars to places to protest. They're hypocrites really, they just don't want the damage caused for oil searching on their doorstep
