Hi all
Got an APC UPS RS 800
Hasn't been used for a while so its probably the battery.
I plugged it in and the only thing that happens is the on battery light comes on.
Left it overnight but no change.
Anyone have one or similar that has had this before ?

I would have thought it would have still turned on and the replace battery light would come on if it was just the battery.
Don't want to buy a new battery if the UPS is dead.
Cheers

pull the batteries and see if there is any charge at all using a voltmeter.

if you are lucky, it might be safe to try a motorbike battery charger on it for about 10mins.

if so, see if it takes a charge, then see is it holds the charge.
