This packs down unbelievably small, website says Packed Size: 5" x 9", 12.7 cm x 22.8 cm. Weighs 514 grams including the stuff bag and repair kit.

I just measured it and it actually sizes at 9cm in diameter X 20cm (three and a half inches diameter x 8 inches long) max.

I got mine from the USA via Amazon for under £45.00, ($50.00 for the bed + $9.08 shipping + $11.00 export tax - total $70.90).

Not cheap, but maybe someone you know wants to buy you a present, that's how I got mine; damn, I'm impressed.

Have you slept on it yet?

Is it warm and comfortable. Is it easy to inflate. Is it possible to pack it away again in the same pack?

Don't quite see how it's better than a self inflating mattress.

It's not much smaller or lighter, and pure air mattresses are generally less comfortable.

That's an epic beard...

I think you can go too light on airbeds for bike camping.
I had one of these:

https://www.journeymantraveller.com/2010/12/pacific-outdoor-equipment-peak-elite-ac.html

Very light, insulated against cold ground, very easy to inflate, and packs away to nothing. The trouble is, the material is so thin that despite a rip-stop weave, it punctures very easily. I had 2 punctures in 2 months of camping, the 2nd one right on a seam, where a repair wouldn't hold. Of course, I could've just been unlucky, but I've read of others having similar puncture problems with them. So now I have a Mountain Equipment self inflating mattress - a bit bulkier, but easily fits in with all the other kit in a 50l bag.

Is it warm?
No, we all rely on body heat unless we have the luxury of a heater of some kind; guess you mean is it a good insulator to the ground, probably better than conventional inflatable beds because of the lesser air volume, there is an insulated version
https://www.klymit.com/index.php/products-1/sleeping-pads/insulated-static-v.html
R-Value 4.4 (Static V R-Value = 1.3), weighs 7ounces more, packs a bit bigger and yes, costs more.

Is it comfortable?
Yes, very. I slept on it last night on a hard floor at home, not much of a comparison to camping I admit.
What I noticed most was that when I rolled over I was not tipped out onto the floor as usually happens with reeded air beds, the little pockets along the edge and overall general design means I stay on the bed, no having to get back into bed during the night.

No body contact with the floor whatsoever, I like it a lot.

Is it easy to inflate?
Took me 14 breaths, but I was forgetting to push the valve down each time after exhaling, reckon I will do it in 12 breaths or less next time, very easy to inflate.

Is it possible to pack away again in the same pack?
Needs a bit of practice\technique so that no air is left trapped, but easy enough, I did not spend much time trying different methods.

Guess I could pack it away in 3 -4 minutes next time; fits in to the sack with room to spare, see pics, I put my sleeping bag liner in the sack along with it and the repair kit that has it’s own little sewn in pocket, still room to spare, very easy, no struggle at all.

Only thing that puts me right off is all this having to blow it up.

its going to get a fair amount of moisture inside along with the air and that will lead to mould and spores. not good.

can it be inflated by some other method?

Sooner or later opinions fade and the name on the tank matters not. I think that happens somewhere between 3rd and 4th gear. Enjoy the ride... everything else takes care of itself.

I don't see the trouble. I had a cheap old Millets air bed that I used for years, always blew it up manually, stored it for months between trips and never had any problems.

Thing is, if you're going for compact & lightweight, by adding a pump, that's more bulk and weight, so why go lightweight in the first place?

For touring I take a pump anyway - makes sense to me to fix a puncture myself rather than wait for a truck to turn up. Places I go you can't always guarantee a phone signal.

Airbed I use has its own pump built-in. It also has a synthetic fibre in-fill to aid insulation from the ground - blowing it up with breath - even if it were possible would be a bad idea for the reasons Ive stated. It would also 'clog up' the fibre and destroy its insulation properties. but.. if this is ok for you or the OP then thats fine. It was only a personal opinion.

Also.. some people have a very bad reaction to mould and spores. which needs to be born in mind.

I like the idea of the Klymit - fella whose coming with me to the Alps in May is in the market for something like this - if it can be pumped up by another method other than blowing into it then Im sure he'd be very interested. Its considerably cheaper than the Exped.

https://www.klymit.com/static-v.html?avad=55097_d6d32fc3

Five camping trips this year, about a dozen puffs to inflate and it really is bed-like comfortable.

Packed up it is tiny, it is also very light weight , smaller (but heavier) than my self inflating pillow.

One of my better buys.

I would miss this thing if I ever lost or damaged it.

Highly recommended.
