|
Now see here: https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/campaigns/motorcycles/zero-per-finance-over-125.aspx
It says "Models eligible for the promotion are 2010-2014 models years officially imported by Yamaha Motor UK."
Does this mean that I could bag a two year old Fazer on 0%? Usually these finance deals apply to new things, so I doubt that this is the case.
Any thoughts anyone? ____________________ Bike: CBF125 |

It means unregistered bikes so yes new bikes only but could be a 2010 model that has never been registered. The ones that dealers have hanging around in the showroom for a couple of years.

My XJ6 is 0%, it was their courtesy bike at the time, I'm on the V5 as the second keeper. ____________________ Snow rider wrote: I'm far to annoying to be near for long periods of time |

usually you have to pay full list price, then either the dealer or importer pays a fee to the finance company to provide interest free credit to the buyer |
Only if you don't negotiate hard enough, which I would certainly be doing if I knew I was buying a bike that was 4 years old, before it left the showroom.
In all my years in the motor trade, I can't ever recall being forced to make a kick back to the finance company, on a manufacturer promoted low rate scheme.
What dealers prefer to do is rely on the punter to reason that the finance deal is so good, asking for a discount would be futile; it isn't, ask away and if you don't get anywhere, be prepared to go to the next dealer down the road, or spend a few hours on the net, getting the best deal you can.
I notice that the finance deal is limited to the RRP, so if you want some extras, you might do well to ask for them to be thrown in for free. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........
