Right im admitting defeat on this one. The crappy led undertray has given me nothing but hassle since i bought the bike. Im attempting to rewire it but i've hit a blank and im getting nowhere.

This is what im dealing with...

https://i979.photobucket.com/albums/ae271/RxsOllie/wiring_zpsbcc273db.png~original

How do I need to connect it, resistors etc to get the tail lights/brake lights/number late light working? However I try and connect it I cant seem to get it right.

If standard undertrays weren't impossible to find i'd be alright...

Appreciate any help.

Are the indicators built into it and are LED too?
For LED I'd put the resistors on the positive side of the indicators.
Are they coming on at all? Flashing too quickly? What's happening to the brake light?

At work so can't edit your picture, sorry.

Indicators are separate standard bulb affairs.

I cant get anything to work, tail lights or brake lights. Havn't a clue how to wire it up.

Indicators should share a common earth point, which each negative wire should connect into. Then you should have a the indicator wires from the loom connected to the positive of the indicators. Also they shouldn't require resistors if they're just regular bulbs.

The LED brake light may need a resistor though.

Looking back I wasnt that clear. Its a twin led setup, both are tail/brake lights. Indicators are completely irrelevant. The little box in the middle of my paint diagram is the number plate light.

Like so

Is that more useful?

for the sake of working out what does what on the loom, i would earth all lights to the frame.
Then test each wire from the loom with the lights on, brakes on, indicators on etc.. with the new lights.

I would expect the brake lights to have 3 wires. Positive, brake switch and earth. I'm struggling to work it out.

Me too! I've been having a go this morning and if i connect the two positive wires through a resistor and earth the two negative wires off of the tail lights then i get tail lights. Problem is when i try and wire it up I can only get one side working at a time.....

The green feed that splits into two is an earth and the yellow and green is a brake light feed as far as im aware.

I've just found a picture of my Hornet when it had two separate bulbs instead of standard ones and the they both had three wires. Positive, negative and the one for the brake switch.

Are you sure the one you have is compatible??

Positive. It has been fitted and working since I bought it a year ago. It worked fine but it would play up from time to time. layed it up the past month or two and it hasnt worked properly since so I ripped it to bits and started again.

I can get the left side working but not both simultaneously, I just dont get it. Cant find the right combination...

Really appreciate the effort btw Thumbs Up

Can you get the right side working on its own, too?

If so, it might be resistors that are needed.

On the positive wires before they attach to the loom.
I can't remember how to work out what value you'll need though.
I just bought a 100 different types (in a pack) and went through them one by one)

Edit : Do you have some of these kinda resistors?

No just normal resistors.

Currently have it wired in like so..

https://i979.photobucket.com/albums/ae271/RxsOllie/wiringaltered_zps975f30a3.png~original

Like that the left hand side light has tail and brake light working fine but the right hand side has 5 or 6 leds lit up around the edge at brake light brightness consistently and thats it....

Also there is a mystery heatshrinked component in the earth feed as marked above, another resistor?

Wizardry..
