The KTM didn't break and I stayed in 1 piece.

I like the dirt. Thumbs Up

Erm... I've probably spent £18 on fuel since getting the KTM back from the shop. I've covered about 50 miles, most of it max revs. Laughing It still has a mostly full tank, so probably looking 50 miles to £10.

Cool!

I win the MPG game, nearly 50MPG!

But nowhere near as fun as a two stroke bike.

Must get MOT sorted for more laning fun.

Might have consumed four litres of fuel during 20-30 mins of road riding. That said, I don't currently have 5th gear for some reason and don't have the power to go straight from 4th to 6th.

As I have a 7.5ltr tank with no reserve, this could be an issue Laughing

I thought the CR 125's had a 5 speed box? That must be later ones.

I bet you can get a reserve tap for it, maybe off an XR or something, or carry a 1 litre bottle of premix with you. I used to on my 50 if I was going exploring in the middle of nowhere. I used an empty 1 litre bottle of two stroke, if it can hold oil, it can hold petrol. I even do it on my ttr if I am in unknown territory, but with just petrol, in case I use all the reserve as well.

Yeh i lose that game Laughing I did get 50 odd road miles though to £10. Done around 300 miles on the 300 (excuse the pun) so far and zero problems apart from adjusting idle Thumbs Up carb took 10 minutes to take off and clean, and chain took 2 minutes to adjust tension.. Well impressed Thumbs Up

We will have to arrange a big BCF green lane meet thing one weekend Very Happy

Regarding range/ fill up problems, I just carry a 1litre bottle of 2 stroke and chuck 250ml of it in with each fill up (Castrol has 250ml marker points on bottle). When I run out of fuel I flip reserve on and pin it to the nearest station hoping it doesn't stall Laughing No reserve wouldn't work with this brilliant strategy though Laughing
