Anyone in america?

I want to buy a couple of small items in america but the shipping is quoted at $54.

It is quite literally 7x flat pieces that could be taped to a piece of card like you would do with coins and they weigh very little.

Could anyone order them and then resend them to me in the uk?

Given how much abuse many of the yoof on here like to spout about the yanks I'd suspect a certain level of self preservation before anyone were to answer "yes"

On a slightly more serious note, that's probably how much shipping will be regardless, I've had friends in the US send stuff over before and that's about right. Had a small parcel come in at just over $100 before now.

I've just registered with a site called 'shipto', they charge $8.50 plus postage, a small jiffy bag size will be about $5.50, insured so $14 plus the $7 the site i'm buying from charge to ship to california, saving $30, there is no rush and buying from usa saves me loads.

The items here are £3.40 each, from usa, 70p ish.

Can you use shipto to enter you own item value to bypass customs charges? As this maybe quite useful for me in canada as we get raped on import tax buying stuff from the states.

The reviews are scary but so far so good.

I've had notification the package has arrived with shipto along with photos of it and the contents.

Postage to the uk with insurance is good, site says it is awaiting dispatch now, Just to see if it turns up.

Because of the cost of the reshipping etc the items are costing me £2 each including the delivery but still a worthwhile amount cheaper than uk buying.

If it all works out, a bigger order will half that cost.

Get yourself established on a Stateside Forum, (they're not all gun-slinging, macho-insecure Harley riders). I've found most 'Muricuns very helpful once you get to know how to communicate with them and I've even been invited out there a few times Some of them are almost human

It's arrived.

All good,2 weeks after ordering. 8 days from usa to here and no customs charges.

The reviews are iffy but how may happy customers leave reviews?
