I have a load of worksheets on Excel

All have this sort of format

A 4
B 6
D 9
G 1
H 4

However another sheet might look like this.

A 2
C 4
E 6
F 8
G 1

Is there a way I can get a total Worksheet i.e. for the 2 examples above the totals would be... (there are a lot more than 2 worksheets)

A 6
B 6
C 4
D 9
E 6
F 8
G 2
H 4

Cheers,

Chris

Tried =SUM(Sheet1:Sheet3!A2)

This will sum values for cell A2 across sheets 1,2 & 3 (can extend to however many).

I think =sum('*'!A2) should work to sum all worksheets but can't verify/try that atm.

Pivot Table

Press Alt > d > p

Then follow the steps, add the first range, then add the second, will do exactly what you're asking.

:Edit: Example attached.

The issue with this is the date being spread out on loads of worksheets.

If each worksheet is the same, I'd be inclined to do a simple macro to consolidate the data on one worksheet.

Is this possible?

Cool I didn't know you could do pivot tables over multiple sheets.

Thanks Thumbs Up
