Why not SDR?

The back projection is a bit shonky, but it's not a bad story, the bike looks good (for the time) David Essex is doing his best streetwise rogue and the ending isn't what you were expecting.

I like it.

Other than that, also World's Fastest Indian.

I actually can't think of a favourite bike film, but the first film that came into my head was freebird.

A lot of the ones I've watched are cheesy bike films though.*cough biker boyz cough*

Never liked easy rider, but did like Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man.

It'd be nice to have a modern biker film come out though!

Edit- i'll need to watch the two mentioned above!

theres no better film than "torque"
it won oscars for
most realistic sportbike on sand sequence.
best women on bikes jousting.
best motorcycle on a train.
best vtwin making il4 sounds.
best script.
best bike changing into another bike mid stunt.
would have got best film oscar but a documentary about history won.
called return of the king!
whos seen that?

That's the one with Laurence Fishburne, featuring the 'must have' gear for all badass streetracers, the flip front helmet and CGI stunts that make The Fast And The Furious look like a fly-on-the-wall documentary, right?

David Essex has got to be the most annoying actor in the history of....of annoying actors. That scene of him running down the beach was painful.

I'm afraid I've got absolutely nothing against him.

I think he's brilliant in That'll Be The Day, he's never anything less than charming and extremely self effacing when interviewed and, having met him a few times, I can say he's a thoroughly nice bloke in real life.

I'm not saying SDR is the greatest piece of film ever shot, but compared to the other Hollywood ordure mentioned already (Torque, Biker Boyz) it's like Olivier in Hamlet.

One major film is Easy Rider, however I did like Captain America's bike and the bike in the new Tron film.

Torque.

Possibly the worst, shitest, most god awful film ever made, but worth it for sheer ridiculousness.
