Guys and girls, it's been a while.

What to tell? Well I've just landed a permanent (and local) job after completing a 13 week period through a very good employment agency.
Unfortunately I missed my 1st week as I went down with a horrible virus Laughing but nether less work is good and work is stable, and life has come on leaps and bounds over the past year..
So I've been concentrating on making life work first and dib-dabbing into being sociable otherwise.

Ol' Zebadee didn't make it through November, I had a weld snap around the exhaust can, and then after having it off the road a couple of days to have it redone it got a couple of days light use before standing for a week.. then absolutely refused to breath anymore.
Being that my commute is only 2.5miles and a nice cycle at that I decided to cut my losses, not wanting to put another 6 months tax on it so sold it dirt cheap to a local breakers, I was very glad to be rid.

Some may remember my RVF, well I've been slowly hoarding tid-bits and tarty parts for that, and selling off all of the tired standard crap that I've decided to replace.. It will still be an age before I have anything significant to show for that, but I'm getting enthusiastic at least (at last) Smile.
Also I've made sluggish as ever progress with my CD200 street-tracker project, mainly arsing about trying to find a reliable powder-coaters, which I wouldn't say I've quite managed yet.

I do have a big pot of gold to squander on a new addition and I'm looking to outfit my garage with some serious toolage too, so I'll soon be posting up a general workshop whorage thread I think.

Before I commit to new pastures though, I've got a busy few days ahead, in relation to The AccidentI had on my ZX10r back in September 2012.
I'm still maintaining a innocent plea, despite realising that the odds are stacked well against my favour.
I've been told to expect to be found guilty but in the end I've decided that I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't, so I should maintain my intention to fight against prosecution.
In any case though, my trial is set for Thursday and I'm really looking forward to putting it behind me, what ever the outcome.

I'll be looking to make a bike purchase over the weekend, whether it will be to cheer me up or celebrate I've had a hard time choosing between another ZX10r 04/05, A Husqvarna SM610 or something for half the cost such as a XR650/400, KLR650 or even a 918 Fireblade..
That's a wide spread of bike variety there I know but then it is going to be primarily for leasure, and I am also trying to consider practicalities such as loading up airsoft kit and where my girlfriend is going to hold on.. Whether I want to get back into a bit of green laning or whether hooning around with mates on sports bikes is more important.

Sorry for a long post, but that briefly says a bit about where I'm at now, so I look forward to getting back on here a bit and tapping this great collective misaligned fountain of wisdom!

Cheers,
Mac.

Were you the one that arrived late to BBQ1.0 year before last and put your tent up using my car's headlights?

Haha Cheers John, you'll never let me live that one down Razz

Ste, don't worry, I haven't applied the boot polish, merely dropping the cheesy moniker of my days of yoot (though granted _Black is arguably only just less so).

Cheers,
Mac.

Wouldn't that be Stew's in March 2003 pre-Elvington.

Or, more accurately, Rock'n'Blues in 2002 Smile.

Yep. I can remember Kev handing me the last steak - it was quite dark and I was happily munching away when someone pointed out that there was blood dripping down my face - turns out the BBQ was actually pretty much dead. Still finished it.
Err, unless this was the second one, of course, but I THINK it was the truck-one.

There was Bulldog Bash too, after RnB in 2002 as well Smile.

But I wouldn't expect the noobs to know about such things, of course! Smile

Yeah that'd be the truck one, I only went to the second one. Crying or Very sad

I did loads of n00b research to establish what BCF was like in the early days and to learn about what I'd missed out on. I mostly found out that Boxhill actually had interesting stuff happening back then.

This n00b had more posts (of the highest quality!) than you for quite a while. Razz

Ha! Nice to see that BCF still has a tendency to dive off onto a tangent.

Rob, interesting you should say that, I know I've always had the horn for the ZRX anyway but I've actually narrowed down my shortlist, so it's between the ZX10r or the ZRX 1100 now.

I hope this weekend I shall bring one or the other home Twisted Evil

Cheers,
Mac.
