A few questions.

Honda Hornet 600.
Currently Bridgestone BT012 tyres.
Rear is squaring off.

Replace just rear, or both?

BT30's or Angel GT's.

If I go BT30 on the rear, can I leave the BT012 on the front and change it to a BT30 later when it finally dies.

If replacing both I'll probably go GT's unless I'm being a plum?

Who to buy from, and who to fit them in my area.?

LU7.

Thanks!

Are you able to remove your wheels yourself? If so it should be dirt cheap to get it fitted and balanced at most bike places just ring a few local ones nearest to you. Ride in/out is usually 30 quid a wheel give or take a little at most places ive used in the past.

I'd just replace the rear personally but the safety police may advise otherwise Razz Probably cheaper to buy online in either case but if you go for replacing both you might get a good deal on a pair if you factor in fitting costs which many places seem to throw in 'for free' if you get tyres from them.

Agreed. He'll do his best to get them as cheap as.

Failing that give Flitwick Motorcycles a bell.

Taking it to IDP Moto at Silverstone.
They gave me the best price for fitted Angel GTs.

Had a chat on the phone as well and Darryl came across as a good bloke.

It's out of the way but that's part of the charm.

A ride up to Silverstone for my new tyres!
Might get my suspension set up whilst I'm there?

I needed ride in ride out as I'm having both tyres done as I'm changing brand.
When it's just one wheel at a time I'll probably take them to DBC or IDP.

Didn't want to leave my bike balancing on its paddock stands with no wheels.

In price order lowest first

Ride in .... fit balance...... ride out...... Pirelli Angel GT pair

Bedford Wheels £258
IDP Moto Silverstone £265
DBC Dunstable £275
MK tyres .... lol .... £310

Used IDP moto. Glad I did. Daryll there services and rebuilds bikes from racers to customs. In fact it was him who stripped and rebuilt the Ducati 916 that was in the MCN 20th anniversary special.

Very interesting to talk to.
I may have found my trustworthy service centre!!!

Woburn as of yet (4 days on) didn't respond to my request so it was a waste of time filling in their stupid online enquiry form!
Same goes for GS Motor Cycle Tyres (mobile fitting) waste of my time!
