 |
|
Hi as title says just had my first newborn baby
Everyone keeps telling me to gives the bikes a rest as there too dangerous you have a wee one now, just wanting to know other riders point of view on this.
I ride fast B road and some track day action also mainly ride sports bikes.
I Feel safe and confident on the road and in my ability I see a lot of guys chuck them because of this matter butt why ?? Is my question to yourselves. Am I being selfish to still ride? ____________________ lol your funny |

Well if you die you won't have to be around to feel guilty...
Just don't ride like a bellend. Easier said than done though. It's a real challenge sticking to the speed limits on nice roads. ____________________ Current: Yamaha FZ1 '07 | GSXR 750 SRAD

"Oooh I bet your cold riding that 'thing' "
Am I? oh thanks for letting me know.
"Look at this bellend with no skin left on his foot from riding a bike"
Oh very nice, are you sure thats what caused it?
"Dont forget a florescent orange HAZMAT suit whilst your on that bike"
Ok will do thanks.
Seriously, learn to ride a bike yourself and understand things or fuck off. Is what I say/think to them lot.
My dad has serious heart troubles but still refuses to stop scuba diving, I'd sooner see him go doing something he loves than go as an old vegetable in a care home pissing himself.
Just dont ride a bellend all the time |

I've never wanted kids so was forced to take up motorcycling In all seriousness if having kids makes you even consider giving up motorcycling then give it up. Otherwise it'll always be in the back of your mind while riding and will probably kill the enjoyment/rush you get from it. Most importantly make sure it's your decision either way |

My daughters are now 26 and nearly 29 and not once did I ever stop enjoying getting out on the bikes - be it to the Isle of Man TT,the Bol d'Or,Moto GP, WSB at Assen and Valencia, and going away with Mrs.Fizzer with her riding her own bike. They were brought up knowing that we ride bikes and if it happens it happens.
Mrs.Fizzer made allowances just in case something happened.

As others have said, keep that steed.
My daughter was born 23/12/2013, and apart from a bit less time spent in the saddle, nothing has changed, nor does my wife expect anything too .
Mate, you could just as easily slip on a loaded nappy* and decaffinate yourself on the edge of the crib.
