I can't get the video to load but I predict loads of gimmicky features that no one will actually use ____________________ KTM 990 SMT & Suzuki DR-Z 400 SM |

It's a small upgrade over the S4.
The camera is improved, particularly focus time to 0.3 secs I believe. The standard camera already has filters such as pastel colours, fish eye etc... and is pretty neat. 16 MP now, and I believe the optics has improved.
Water proofing is always handy. Sometimes accidents happen so it's a good thing to have.
Finger print scanner is OK. Perhaps unlock your phone a little bit quicker, but will have it's flaws.
The screen should be better for lighting. It apparently is better at learning what amount of light to give for optimal viewing.
Heart rate monitor inbuilt. The S4 already has a temperature and humidity sensor, which the S5 has. Good for those who run, cycle I suppose.
2800Mah battery is nice.
I like my S4, and I think it is already a great phone. I'll be happy to get the S5 depending on price. I think it will be a case of playing around with it to appreciate it.
2 Gigs of RAM and 1080p screen is not what was expected, but it's still damn good. 440 PPI is still extremely crisp.
I have never had an issue with the plastic or polycarbonate on the Samsung phones. I always have used a case whatever phone I got. In fact I have a 7500 Mah extended battery now, look shit but I enjoy extra life. Samsung give you options.
I'd like to see what LG come up with. The good thing with Android is that I can jump manufacturers.
The other thing is the watch. A smart watch with MP3 or for running etc... seems to be a good thing. For anyone who runs on the road, carrying a bulky thing in your pocket is just annoying. Maybe a watch is the way to go. I'm not sure if it can receive calls or texts alone though. I'd like to search that.
Samsung stores did a give away today at Westfield in Stratford.
2 S5's with the new watches.
2 42 inch Smart Tv's.
2 Note laptops.
2 Fit watches.
6 Tablets.
I won nothing!!!!!!! Was a good atmosphere though.
PS. Sony just announced the Z2. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

Being water proof is great for me. There have been many times where I do sports that involve water such as kayaking, canyoning, and jumping in to a river off a cliff etc... but never got to take pictures/videos. Now I can sort of if I don't jump into it for too long anyway. Being dust proof is also good, sometimes dust can get onto your screen which is annoying.
The screen is using smart technology to be the best for optimum viewing. That's great and since it is already 1080p and had 440 odd PPI, it's going to be even better on a 5.1 Inch screen. People look at it only being 1080P, but if it went 4K, then battery life will go down. More pixels and size means more power consumption. There's a reason why some have stayed small and kept the pixels low, to their detriment of course. 440 PPI is about the best the eye can see below 8 inches from my memory.
Finger print technology isn't great, but even with it's flaws it is better than not having it. The option is there.
2800 Mah battery is nice, I am a fan of larger capacity. Removable battery means you can upgrade to more too.
Autofocus is 0.3 so the World's fastest. This is handy for people who like to take photos quickly.
Some functions such as depth of field mode will allow funky photos as well as the standard of fish eye, filters etc... in built.
4K video recording is cool. One day there will be 4k TV's as standard. The camera is already decent on the S4 with slow mo, and other features.
128 Gig SD card slot means you can have a lot of storage.
New power save mode to turn things black and white, as well as closing unnecessary features.
The phone has better connectivity, so 4G network will be better since it will be more compatible with other networks (If they start to share etc...) Connection to Wifi apparently will be faster too. Download speeds is something they seem to think will see a huge boost.
S Health with heart rate monitor, temp, humidity sensors seems good. People who do sports may enjoy it more. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

Apple has a limited finger print technology.
Samsung has it as a swipe based system, which will also work for all paypal payments. You don't need to hold like Apple.
You can use 3 different fingers too. That's good because obviously sometimes your main unlocking finger may have grease or water etc...
Might be useful, certainly for paypal.
I'm already happy with the S4 screen though. I used the glove function, since I ride on 2 wheels, I wear gloves. It is nice to be able to touch the screen with my gloves. If the S5 still has this feature, another good thing. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

Ah so it looks like if you want to, the phone can download on wifi, and also use 4G to Download too. So if both are at 20.mbps it can be a total of 40. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

I would agree. The way the S4 was launched was atrocious.
Keep it simple is what we want.
I liked how they streamed the event at the Samsung store and gave away prizes though.
Then again Apple weren't the first to do that kind of style show. It's been like that in the It industry for donkeys ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

Is anyone surprised? I mean.... its a phone, realistically what features can they possibly add to it now that will revolutionize the smartphone? It'll be a bit faster, camera a bit better, battery life still shit, screen resolution a tad better, a few gimmicks thrown in that will soon be forgotten about (how many people use Siri daily?).
Besides, I'd wait for the chinese clone to come out and get it 1/5th of the price anyway.

Not bad. The ram is nice. However there's something about Sony phones that disappoint.
S5 has 4k filming and only. 2 gig of ram.
I like the 128 gig sd card slot on the s5 though. Where I work now the 4g is shit and we aren't allowed wifi. (nhs)
5.2.inches is a good size, slightly bigger than the s5 with 5.1 ____________________ Hit the G spot. |
