In all seriousness, I reckon given that Islam is about 600 years younger than Christianity, it is at a similar stage of "evolution" as Christianity was around 600 years ago i.e. schisms, fundamentalism and a sort of mass hysteria.

And lets not forget the Spanish Inquisition.
