Ducati Diavel - Ugliest bike ever made?

I just wanted to get the opinions of you guys.

Who agrees that the Diavel is the ugliest bike ever made? I hope it's not just me who thinks so!

In the highly unlikely event that I find myself considering a cruiser in a couple of decades during some sort of midlife crisis. This sort of thing could possibly be on the list.

I'd have to make changes mind. I'd want a 2-1-1 pipe, that current 2-1-2 monstrosity disgusts me highly. Maybe raise the back end a smidge, saw off a few bits of plastic perhaps.

I very much doubt I'll ever get that depressed though. At least, I sincerely hope I never do.

Hi

It is very ugly, but not sure the ugliest bike at the moment. There is a lot of competition for the title of ugliest bike at the moment. Comes to something when the 'busa when launched was one of the ugliest bikes on sale and it is now one of the better looking bikes.

Pfft, that Multistrada is pretty damn funky. I like it. Considering getting one.

The Diavel too is somewhat funky, different and interesting.

If we're talking about ugly Ducatis though, the ST2 and the ST4 are properly hideous.

I don't like it but I wouldn't say that its because the bike is ugly. Its just not the type of bike that I have any interest in. Beauty is all subjective anyway and what I think looks amazing other people will find a bit gopping.

2 of my mates have ordered the 2014 diavel, moving from multistradas. They split opinions on looks but sitting on the back of one flying through the gears...

Quite fancy the Diavel myself, would say it's more of a muscle bike than a cruiser though. IMO modern bikes are fine but they keep slapping the stupidest, most far-out exhaust and headlights on them for no good reason. What's wrong with a nice, round 7" one? Timeless, classic.

Wasn't the Buell thing incredibly aerodynamic thanks to it's lardy-looking plastic? Same situation there with the Hayabusa. IIRC it was 130kg and a missile on the track. Neways I've always held that under every fat fairinged bike is a lean mean streetfighter waiting to be unleashed. Naked Hayabusas are a world apart from the stock overweight sharks they come as.

Might not even be considered 'ugliest' as there is always some tosser out there willing to love a turd, but quite possibly the worst bike ever made: the Amazonas.

I like the Diavel

All black model looks better - mate of mine had one.

It goes much too well to be a cruiser though, would have to say 'muscle bike'.

They also seem to photograph badly, or maybe the lower angle bike photo's are usually taken at (compared to eye-level) makes it look a bit off. They're a thing of beauty in real life.
