If its already alarmed then maybe a little pointless in most respects to use an alarmed disc lock as well then to be honest.
Having had an alarmed ped/125 with a disc lock parked in a motorcycle bay/on a busy road outside college/uni - Sadly in terms of kids fucking around with the bike its of little use I would say. Mine got sat on many times and knocked over twice. Most of the time I could hear it and goto the window and see whoever was trying to sit on it/twist the throttle Not sure how much if any detereant it had on potential thieves to be honest, but neither bike got nicked for four years so unless I was just lucky - it would seem to be of some use at least.
If they're really determined it will get nabbed either way as plenty of internet videos show, but if its not a brand new sport bike, you're probably fairly safe with a bit of general security I expect. |
