Hi people,
I am looking for free software that will find and kill malware etc. Plenty out there that calls itself free and will scan for free but then demands cash to kill.

Free as a on demand scanner and only about £20 one off payment if you want it to run real-time.

I mainly use MS Security Essentials.

Make sure you use the Microsoft site for downloads though, otherwise it could be a world of pain. I have my Mum's laptop here to sort out because she's downloaded a virusy version of it for some reason

Spybot Search and Destroy seems to work too as does Malwarebytes as previously mentioned

I have MSE, then run malwarebytes anti-malware every few weeks/months/whenever I remember.

Tbh I've never had any problem with viruses in a very long time. Nasty folks seem much more likely to try and phish your bank details than they are to fill up your pc with cocks and pussy like they did in the good 'ol days.
