Currently this auction has sold 155 units, so has anyone used cat crap on a visor, and is it any good?

Never heard of it.

But being a cheap skate that I am I used to use stardrops diluted with water and vinegar for cleaning the visor and for the anti fog I used to use a tiny bit of shaving gell. Rub it in, use a bit of kitchen towel to wipe it off and anti fog for a while.

Now both my helmets have pinlock.

I'd never bother to try it due to the ridiculous name which is totally unrelated to the product being sold. Cat Crap? Really? Rolling Eyes

Tried it on my visor, didn't find that it worked, got a pinlock.

Then got a lid with a drop-down sun visor which fogs up a treat, just as you need it to work in low winter sun.

Remembred that I had the CatCraptm brand anti-fog, applied it to the drop-down... still didn't work.

Seems expensive, but worth it if it did what it said on the container.

Cheers, 'Borg, very interesting. Thumbs Up

I've recently used Muc-offs anti fog.
Seems extortionate for a small bottle, but it does appear to work, and is better than anything else I've tried.

Had a pinlock before which was very good, but the new helmet didn't come pinlock ready. My first thought was to get one, but then realised a new pinlock ready visor was £45 + pinlock of £20 + postage - me being a bit tight and not having an extra £70 to spend = trying alternatives.

I recently bought a (tiny and expensive) tub of Cat Crap as my glasses tend to steam up in my new Xlite pinlock'ed helmet.

I doesn't keep the glasses from fogging up but it does clean them pretty well.

As my visor is pinlock, I won't be using it on the inside of the visor, but I would use it on the outside to remove any finger marks or grease etc.

If anyone can recommend an anti-fog spray for glasses I would be grateful.

I refer you to my post. Try it, you might be surprised. Should work well enough for glasses.

That muc-off stuff I mentioned is used by some swimmers on goggles (from the reviews I've read) and works well. I've used it on a pair of sunglasses and it worked. Still seems pricey for such a small bottle.

I invested in a tiny and expensive bottle of Muc-Off anti fog and it does work pretty well on my glasses and sunglasses. I would recommend it.

So expensive, though...

I use Bob Heath anti-fog spray, but not just before I go out. I've found I have to put it on the night before then pop the visor on top of a radiator and sort of bake the anti-fog on. Weird but it works well.
