I'm trying to find an app that will create power profiles for my phone.

Currently my Xperia SP has 'stamina' mode and 'low battery' mode.

I try to use stamina when I can, but shutting off WiFi and 3G when the screen is locked can be a pain sometimes.

Not too problematic when I'm driving etc and lett interruption from WhatsApp, email and so on. But it'd be nice if when I plug into the charge, WiFi and 3G stay on without having to disable the 'stamina' mode, or turn off WiFi when I leave the building.

I can enable location based WiFi, but that's only half the battle...

Any one out there have any recommendations. Quite happy to pay for apps if they're actually any good!

Not sure if it is built into the Xperia but check what is actually using the power.

Wifi didn't use much on my S2 but the screen accounted for a huge % of the power usage.

I have the Xperia Z1 and so far my screen has accounted for 59% of usage.

Hmm perhaps I'm asking too much. I was just thinking along the lines of power profiles like a laptop.
I have my back light off most of the time to try and save power. So I guess I must be doing well to get 8hrs heavy usage.

8hrs heavy usage on a modern smartphone is pretty standard. Those big nice screens destroy battery levels.

I use Juice Defender. It works well and extends the battery life considerably. I think I have the Ultimate version which gives you very fine-grained control of the phone.

feck around with it with the screen constantly on it'll last less than a day

Wi-Fi usage doesn't show as a process in the standard android battery app. Apps that use Wi-Fi will however cause wake locks and various other things which will affect battery life greatly.
That being said, screen usage is still a huge drain on battery.

Juice defender is pretty nice IMO. Although i don't use any such app, i think the battery will last the same thing as i have experienced.
