Short term insurance

Insurance's due on my 125 next week, and a few days later I have my DAS course. Is it (financially) worth re-insuring the bike? If I cancel during the 14 day cooling off period it'll cost me £25, so what about payg policies such as eBike's?

They still refuse to give me a quote so don't know how much a monthly premium's. Renewal quote with my current insurer's £207 TPO, which's actually cheaper than the quotes I got checking myself, and they don't auto-renew which's nice

Would of thought the £25 fee for cancelling in 14 days would be cheaper than a short term insurance policy if your years insurance is over £200 tpo

Which I mention because if "premiums [start] at £32" then the cost of setting up the policy can't be as much as - or indeed anywhere near - that, can it?

Which might be a fun one to try after cancelling during the statutory cooling off period.

So I'm losing a whole 21 hours and 2 minutes of cover! I feel morally justified to ride my bike to work tomorrow, but losing my license the day before my DAS course wouldn't be smart, even by my standards. Guess I'll be getting the bus then
