Use the engine. Will be near impossible to push it up a steep flight of narrow stairs.
Either way though, it's a pretty risky idea. Also to consider is the weight of the bike on your upstairs floor/stairs. I hope you have a sturdy house! My cousin had his bath fall through the floor once because his fat ass plus the water was too much for the floor to handle.
Though I love the idea of keeping the motorbike in the bedroom, I'd do it if I could - not only for the security benefits
Oh and you also might want to think about how you'd get it back down. Think about taking a motorbike down a set of indoor stairs for a moment - recipe for catastrophe (even with plywood sheets!). ____________________ I'm autistic. That means I'm smarter than you. |

security reasons is just excuse
Don't know yet how I will get it back down yet, I will think about this later (in the worst scenario I will take it apart and then put parts back together so there is always some way but I will think about the easier way later)
Another idea is, so I would save money on buying plywood sheets, to use a ramp. A ramp is not so long in length, so I would need 2 people to help me and several times move the ramp up eg when i move bike up and i reach the end of the ramp then i hold bike upright and front brake, someone lift the rear wheel and take the ramp off then the same with front wheel, move ramp forward and again lift each wheel and put ramp back under the bike
I would have to spend about £60 for plywood sheets so maybe better would be to use just a ramp but plywood sheets seems safer in my opinion |

Seems like a mad idea, however, if you do want to proceed, use a ally ladder laid on the stairs, making sure the bottom is firmly wedged against something to stop it sliding.
You will need help but if you get into trouble, the rungs will provide some resistance and take some of the weight, whereas using flat boards will just see the whole plot crashing down, potentially crushing your mate(s) who are pushing. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

If I was going to attempt something this impractical I would definitely use a winch or a come along at the top of the stairs.
https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-ch2500b-250kg-electric-power-hoist
You're then going to have to attach that winch to something which could be easy or difficult depending on the layout of the building and how adept you are at knocking up simple 4x2 frames as required.
The winch also lowers - enabling you to get the bike out again.
EDIT: I've just read the review on that winch. You need to talk that guy.

I'd get down to b&q, you may not know it yet but you'll be redecorating the hallway if your staircase has bannisters buy some of those too! |
