Was going through my bank statement and I see a £30 payment to paypal, seems weird went to go check it out to be delighted with this,

Apparently Paypal has automatically charged my card and sent £30 to 'eBay Europe Sarl'

Payment description: eBay Seller Fees and Reimbursements

On another line is says:

Monthly eBay sellers fee's.

Only problem is I HAVE NEVER SOLD ANYTHING ON MY EBAY ACCOUNT...

WTF IS THIS?

What a load of BS.

After spending a while on chat, eBay (who own paypal???) say they can't access the charges to see whats going on and to call paypal (offices are closed).

They sure as hell are going to be reimbursing me for my time Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Have you checked your Ebay account to see if you have been hacked and have actually sold something?

He sent me a link to any and all eBay invoices from my account and asked me to confirm he had the same result as me, I clicked it and the last invoice was from 2011 which he also agreed upon. It also said no charges from the last 6 months aswell.

Nothing has been sold on my account Bounce!

Well either someone has used another ebay account but linked it to your paypal or it's just an Ebay error. I'm sure they will sort it for you - they are not a complete bunch of fucktards Thumbs Up

We had a similar issue a few weeks back to the tune of £130 odd quid. Change your password and phone them up (ebay, not paypal), they will see the prob and sort it out instantly. Next month you will get an invoice for £0.00.

And if you can change your email addy, that would help. Never click on an ebay email, go into ebay to see the message direct.

Could be fraud mate?

Dispute the transaction with your bank and contact ebay.

Hope it gets sorted.

^ This was what happened to us. The bank will not do anything other than advise you to get in touch with ebay and paypal, worth keeping them in the loop, though. Just phone ebay, 0800 no. and they will be awake now (Americans, eh?)
I must admit I am a lot more careful where and how I log on to it now.

Please change passwords, both ebay and paypal. Change the email if you can, this may be the point of attack. Phone them now, apart from the accents, and the drama of explaining the letter 'c' and 'z', they are bang sharp on the case. Just have all your details to hand, they WILL make sure you are the account holder. Thumbs Up

I thought Paypal for us are based in Ireland, shouldn't have to contact the states.

edited for clarification as to who's 1st reply.

TBH I was expecting the next reply to be OP stating 'sorted'.

Rang paypal (bearing in mind I have asked my Dad twice if he knows what this £30 could be) turns out my Dad is a derp, on his eBay account (uses same paypal we just have 3 different card accounts on there) has listed a vehicle or something hence the £30 charge.

What a dick. Now that I'm old enough I'll just make my own paypal account Evil or Very Mad

Thanks everyone for the PM's and replies Thumbs Up
