Well was out on a nice ride today with Dom (making the most of then dry) He was in front of me. As we rode past a bush he must of scared this pheasant because it flew out right in front of me Neutral
Well I ducked as much as I could and tensed up then BANG. The thing hit me on the head! Luckily it glanced off and I saw it land in the road Neutral I was doing about 60 at the time, I hate to imagine if it hit my bike. Shocked

Did you stop to see if it was ok? Or move it off the road?

You couldve stopped and killed it if it was mortally injured or moved it out the road if it was dead!

i hit one at a ton, fucker got scared by something, jumped from a bush into a van, glanced off the van and into my knee.

Saw its face in slow motion, then it hit my knee/front of tank and cartwheeled down my bike. Yellow goo EVERYWHERE!

Its all fun.

Not really. That was in about early july, and some advised me to try ducktaping kneesliders to my knees (they were free in performance bikes i think) cos i was getting quite low and such. So it just kinda smacked into my kneeslider and burst itself on that, but the yellow shit was everywhere. Infact theres still loads under the tank. I was surprisingly pretty unphased by it and i didnt stop, but i did try and find it later on when i drove through.

Was out on a ride with my dad yesterday when a pigeon flew straight out of a hedge and smashed him in the head.

Confused

They are indeed realy stupid birds, I've been hit by a couple over the years. Glad you survived.

It is illegal to stop and pick up road kill that you have hit, but a driver who comes along later can take it home. It's amazing how quick you can do a u-turn and suddenly become 'the next motorist along the road' Wink

Many a good rabbit stew kept me fed at college after a brief ride out at dusk Very Happy

For this reason, when in Scotland, always carry a 2' monkey wrench or similar tool in your boot with which to dispatch deer. Tasty buggers. Smile

I missed one by about 3 feet at Elvington last year in the middle of the track, which sounds like a lot but...

I was well over 170mph so it didn't have time to see me and fly up

I think the wind must have bowled it about 300 yards down the track Laughing Laughing
