What would be a reasonable charge for this?
A friend is going through a messy divorce and her husband's bike is in her yard. I have told her to forge his sig on the V5 and sell it and deduct storage costs.

Sorry mate and thanks for the offer! My thread tittle was just to attract attention, I have no bike in need of storage ( mine are in the kitchen and living room) I just need a reasonable annual fee so she can rip him a new hole with it.

It's probably still his yard legally. If he loses his bike then he's gonna want her to lose something too. Stop escalating the messiness and get her to act like a grown up...

Mention that unless she tries to take the high road and get the ex to do the same then they're just handing dosh to lawyers.

And I'm sure the stories you're gonna respond with in her defence are terrible, but that doesn't stop the money just flowing out of their shared money pool...

Just so we're clear, you are actually asking a forum of bikers how much your friend can skim off the top after stealing her husbands bike and defrauding the person she sells it to, right?

Forging his signature won't pass good title to whoever buys it, meaning your friend would be heading for a legal shitstorm if she takes your advice. Either get his agreement to sell it or get him to retrieve it.

And to answer your question, if the divorce isn't final then its still his garden too, so the "storage costs" would be £0. Even if it was finalised, if she hasn't informed him of storage costs and given him a fair chance to remove the bike, its still £0.

Tell her to grow up and stop being a spiteful bitch.
