Hi I'm looking to see of any people around the Hampshire area would like to meet up for a ride? Now the weathers getting nice I'm going to be out a lot more and it's getting boring on my own. If anyone fancies meeting up let me know.

I used to be in Hampshire last year, loved doing the A35 Soton to Bournemouth (Christchurch) and back of a quick blast.

Nice routes through the New Forest around there, just remember, if you cross a cattle grid then you're into the ponies playground. They'll hurt if you hit them. And they do just stand in the middle of the roads on blind bends.

I'd like to get to know him a bit first. I'm not paddy.

I'm around Southampton - near Botley / Wickham. I won't be joining the euro trip as in June I am riding from Le Havre - Catalunya - Bilbao to watch the Catalunya GP, by c90 with a couple of others. Thumbs Up

Probably sell the GSXR and buy a Street Triple for another week abroad in August, too.

I'm in Southampton (Bitterne). Most of my rides are me taking the long way home from work via Loomies, but I occasionally take part in an organised ride. Where in Hampshire are you?

I would join the euro trip but sadly I've already been for a blast over to Paris to visit my mate who lives there and I have to save for some building work on my house. Sad

I used to live in Hampshire, there are a lot of lovely little roads. You should join the South East Section. In there you will see the planned ride-outs, come along and meet up. We go further than the borders though. Just so you know. Thumbs Up

Hey Sam, where about's are you working that means your past Loomies on the commute?
I know the A272 a little bit, but not done the A32 at all, is it any good?

I'm cracking on with the DIY (fencing etc), but maybe we could meat up for a brew etc. Kawkerz is also down this way sometimes.
Must confess, I've been keeping myself to myself for the last few weeks since getting the bike out from hibernation, just trying to remember what to do and when to do it. But I think I'm a little less dangerous now, so might see if people are around for a 'lil meet up.

Good luck with the house chap. If you need some help, I'm handy with a sledgie Wink

Fareham where yzf happens to live. Just blast up the A32 and keep going at speed. Very Happy I'm leaving this job at the end of April but maybe we can meet up before then if you're around the Loomies area at about 5-5.30 on a sunny weekday.

Otherwise the weather tomorrow looks good so I might try and organise something. Will post here if anything comes of it!

Thanks for the offer of house help but destruction is about the only bit I'm good at. Razz

Not at the moment, no. It's STILL flooded at Lower Farringdon. But when it's not flooded its a lovely road to ride. Thumbs Up

Unspeedy, have you been to the Bittern pub on bike nights (Monday's I think?), if you do, say hello to Ric from me. He still sends me texts from time to time. Knows me as Clanger with the Raspberry sv (although you know I now have the Versys Armchair). Wink

Good friends with Ric and his wife Sam. Bike nights are on Wednesdays starting up again soon. Join the Do You See Us Now campaign group (not the page) on Facebook that I'm running with them after a local long-time biker called Bubbles was killed in a SMIDSY last month.

Yup, I often meet up with Pigeon for a little run, coffee and a catch up. Been out on a few rides the last month to blow the cobwebs away from just commuting. I'll keep an eye on the thread and if there's a meet up planned I'll try and come along Smile

I don't live anywhere near Hampshire, but I ride down there a dozen times a year. Was in Fareham and Gosport last weekend, have met a couple of BCF'ers already. Meeting points included Loomies on the A32 and the burger van up Portsdown hill for example.

The A32 is a decent enough road (when open!!), but a regular hangout for the Hampshire Plod, especially on a Wednesday afternoon / evening.
Be warned - although they seem to hang out in 30 and 40 zones. NSL areas usually are ok - note I said usually!
