Why don't you sell a bollock on the black market and buy a screw as well?

DIY is the answer. Thumbs Up

Take the wheel off and take it to the tyre centre, its much cheaper.

and the brake pads are a doddle to fit, and you can pick 'em up on ebay for a tenner or under, or try www.wemoto.co.uk for pattern parts.

But the biggest thing is you MUST shop around for the best deal on tyres.

You were mugged.

Had a new Avon 180 for the rear of my blade on the 23rd £90.00 fitted and balanced.

WEMOTO are not cheap. I beat all there pattern prices by around 15-20%.

Please shop around for parts or just give all your money to me then I won't have to work.

Check this post and follow it down and check the tyre prices.

What bike you got?

And don't scrimp on brake pads. If you've got cast rotors go for EBC HH pads, a little dearer but well worth it. Wink

Hi

My only experience with HH pads on cast iron disks was on the Bimota. They were frighteningly bad, with a hideous amount of wet weather lag before anything happened. I yanked them back out again.

On the other hand I have used the HH pads in the Bandit and the RS125. They were pretty good in the Bandit, but not that much better than standard but in the RS they are superb.

All the best

Keith

I always reccomend Carbone loraine SBK 3... better than HH in my opinion. However they do cost even more!

Infact, if a garage fitted a decent rear tyre and those pads, £190 would probably only allow for £10 labour for the pad fitting or something.

The price charged seems about right, presuming you got a half-decent tyre fitted (ie not an Avon etc Smile ) and some ok pads.
