DVA moves to Swansea

The DVA are to be merged with DVLA in Swansea with the loss of 300 jobs, I wonder if the whole system is to be changed in the near future bringing N.I in line with current GB DVLA systems such as the MOT, SORN, speed restrictions etc, some changes would be good but others bad.

Seems a bit crazy after the DVA received an award for their excellent service, praise them then sack them.

As long as they don't get any ideas the other way round. We do NOT need an NI style MOT for example!

What's cheaper: paying to drag DVLA up to their standard, or getting shot of the over-achievers who've been showing them up?
